The founder of the nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876, in Karachi. Quaid-e-Azam was a lawyer, politician and the greatest leader of Pakistan. He got his early education at Karachi and at the age of 16 he went to England for further studies. In 1896, Jinnah qualified for the Bar and in 1897 was called to the Bar. It was his struggle that despite stiff opposition from the Indian Congress and the British Government, we managed to get our own homeland on August 14, 1947.
Quaid e Azam was a man of principles. His motto was Unity, Faith and Discipline. Jinnah died at the age of 71 on September 11, 1948, just over a year after Pakistan gained independence from the British. He left a deep and respected legacy in Pakistan.
The Quaid-e-Azam was an ambassador of peace and justice, a great constitutionalist, a distinguished parliamentarian, a top-notch politician, an indefatigable freedom-fighter, a dynamic Muslim leader, a political strategist and, above all, one of the great nation-builders of modern times. The Quaid-e-Azam did vision Pakistan as a modern and impregnable welfare state where people could live with peace, love, fraternity and harmony. The Quaid also desired that every citizen should have equal opportunities of education, health, progress and justice.
